Change

Hi there,

It's been weeks and maybe months since I've touch my blog, I've been busy with my work and also on learning how to sketch =)

But yea, feel like it's about time to upload some postings before this blog start to grows spider web.

This few weeks has been fruitful to me, so many things that I'd love to share but I'm not sure where to begin with. Oh well one step at a time I guess.
Today I am gonna share about something that has really brought a big impact to my awareness recently; which is 'change'.

Many of us has different perception when it comes to change,
some perceive it as a chance to grow,
some feels that change is unnecessary, some fear change so much that they just turn their backs and run away.

Change for me is a scary thing, in my whole life especially ruing the early stage of my childhood; I had my life planned out by my parents. Where should I study, what should I study, what should I do in the future. Hence, during those times everything seemed to be ready made and I would just follow the instructions given to achieve the goal that they want me to and this brought up whole long habit of making plans for my life.

Regardless big or small issues in my life, I would set a schedule for it and follow accordingly. And when things don't go well I tend to break down and start throwing tantrums all around *yep that's right*
However, it doesn't stop there, I am even more particular in all the details of the plans to ensure everything runs perfectly accordingly.

This caused to many troubles for me in the later days of my life because I do not have the ability to compromise and tolerate others and I've been very stubborn through out the whole time. Until recently that my perspective started to change.

The reason I gave in is due to the overload amount of new things coming into my life, and at some point I had to compromise towards it. However, when I started accepting it, great things begun to happen. New possibilities opened up and suddenly I see so many possibilities in my life.

In our lives, we often face discomfort whenever there is a need to change, but that is the fun part of life. Because if we are all given a blue print for our life and we know what to do next to achieve things that we are suppose to achieve. Wouldn't that be very dull and pointless to live anymore?

Life is all about exploring and journeying to the unknown part of life. It might be scary not to know, but what is behind the unknown is always a surprise and it's often a good one.

Take an example when someone gets a gift, there is always that moment of excitement when opening the present, because we want to know what's inside. But if we were to tell the person whats the content of the present then it will take away all the fun.

It's all about the process that's what matters the most. There might be good and bad experience while we face changes in our lives but in all these moments and feelings; we learn and we continue to grow. For me I felt that this is the most wonderful thing about life itself. Everyone has the key in their hands to choose what they want to do in their life's. The ability to journey into the unknown to see all the possibilities that could happen.

Change might be scary, might be a joyful; but I can surely say that it's an experience that is so precious that can't be bought.

So embrace change, embrace the unknown... that's what we called 'life'

Today is our BEST day~~

Financial management 101 - part 1

It's been quite awhile since I have posted something. So here's my new post =D

Today just wanted to drop by and share something practical and useful to all.

This just happen yesterday and I had some awareness that might be useful to others. Well topic is about money!! $$$$$

Yep MONEY.

Before hand, let me just throw a simple question to the readers out there. What is the best way to generate money?

Is it to save up all the money and not spend it ?
or
Put every single possible penny that you own to any investing related planning?
or
You just rather don't bother about these....

Just had a conversation with one of my friends recently, my friend mentioned about wanting to save up because she has been using up and over spending too much money lately. And wanting to sign up for those saving plans that exist in the global market.

Well don't get me wrong, I am certainly not against all these savings after all they are owned by prestigious banks and large financial organisations. Certainly the plans that they offer is good and will help generate profit overtime.

But that is just one of the ways to generate money, and its not even tackling the main root of the problem. So what is the main problem and the solution then?

The truth is the reason we often suffer from financial crisis is due to the lack of knowledge in managing our daily use of money. You can have tenths and twenties of saving plans or investment plans but with a bad skill in managing your own finance you will remain at the same state still.

So what is the best way to overcome such situations?
The answer is simple, find out your spending habit and pattern and CHANGE IT.

One of the killer in money spending is when we spend of petty stuff and we take no record is those stuff. It is because of the mind set of those are cheap and very affordable stuff so you just spend it without even thinking about it. How many times have you ever experience such thing before. Going in to a grocery shop where you just take the items of the shelf because it is so cheap and when you are going of cash out then only you realise the awfully high total cost of all the items that you've taken.

This is very common because we tend not to register in things that are rather minor and small in our lives. This applies to our spending nature as well.

Hence one of the way to know our spending habit is as such:
1. Get a note book
2. Record each and every spending that you did for a whole month long. (including those petty stuff)
3. After a month review it
4. Cut down those expenditure that is rather uneccesarily

These are one of the basic step to realise our spending habits. Will further elaborate of this topic on my next post.

Try this method out and don't hesitate to drop me any question on my comment section. I would be gladly answer any questions that you all have.

Today is our best day!!

Trials and hard times are a gift to us

How often in life that we face hard times, hardship moments that always tried to break us down. Crumbling our hearts and shattering our confidence and hope towards life.

I believe all of us have there fair share of moments in our life. For me, I would say my whole life is on a constant challenge; if given me a way to describe my life I would go with the rough seas. Waves by waves keep crashing after one another. But in my defence it is not a bad thing at all.

There is a fun way of saying to help people that are constantly having trials in life;

"When life gives you lemons, you made lemonade out from it."

It is true when there are trials in life, what we need to do is embrace it, accept it and make the best our from it.

"For who we are today is the result of the collective experience that we faced and experience in our younger days." -unknown-

Recently I was asked to helped out in my church to help guide the youths for a session of bible study due to the absence of the youth leader. It was quite a last minute thing hence I wasn't really prepared for anything except for a piece of paper that is given to me.

But well the topic of the day is quite interesting, and I would say that God really works in his wonder ways. The topic was about knowing who is God and how God appear in our lives and impact us. This topic really touched me a lot as I was just a very different person before I met Him.

Through out the sharing I shared about how I was convicted to became a Christian after a series of harsh events in my life. I was always blaming people around me for my misfortune and my hardship in my older days. But as days goes by I slowly understand why are all these event happening to me; and soon I realise these are gifts more that a curse or bad luck.

So why is it a gift?

A simple way to explain is that, if I don't go through those hard times last time, I would know what is the real meaning of pain, lost, despair. Knowing all these things in such a early timing helped me out when I was growing in to the society and I was able to be more compassionate to others and understand others; enabling me to give them the right support when others needed. And most important, I learned how to appreciate my life even more as well as the people around me.

I guess it is true that only the ones that falls will feel that pain, and knowing that pain is a strength.

I really thanked those hard times that I've gone through last time which enabled me to become who I am today. Everything happens for a reason, that it is always the best outcome for us. All we need to do is just to focus on the right angle while looking at all these events.

In conclusion, in life there's bound to be good and bad events happening. A person growth is not determined by how many happy and peaceful days he/she has mange to live by; but how he/she manage to overcome the hardship in their lives and tuned it into a great lesson to improve in their lifestyle.

Nothing is fully bad and awful. It is how we choose to view it.
So choose to look at things in a positive angle and all is well =)

Awareness through out the week =D

It been a long 3 weeks away from work... apparently I am still out stationed but with a privilege of having my laptop with me today.

So I am just gonna do some light blogging and sharing about some of my recent learnings.

Despite working day and night for these few weeks, I still manage take up some time to just run through my social media channels for the sake of catching up what has been going on lately.

Well recently one major news struck me hard as I browse through my Facebook wall. The death of the 40 year old lead actor of the Fast & Furious franchise, Paul Walker. Certainly it was big shock for me as I am a Fast & Furious hardcore fan. Seeing one of my favour leading actor pass on ironically through a car accident; it just stumbled me so much and had to thinking about past event and moments that I lost some close people around me.

Again with such news, reminds me again of how life is so unpredictable. But I guess that is the very core truth to our lives that life is always unpredictable,it is just we are so deluded and so ignorant of that true fact because it contains so much uncertain, insecurity and fear behind it. But that is the very truth in life; what we seemed that is so organised and well plan can just be ended by a split second. Just like what happen to Paul Walker's case.

Along our daily lives, we have been programmed by our brain to function in a way that everything is well planned and organised and we are to execute the similar task daily. But every once in a while when our norm is being disrupted by some outside matter, we would normally tensed up because we lost control of the whole situation.

But this is all because we are so being controlled by our conditioned function of our brain. Same like any habits, as we repeat more of the things we do in our daily life the more attach we are towards the flow of the process if there is any changes done we would not be able to adapt towards it in an immediate way. We are so numb with our daily activities and we are all doing things through auto pilot mode.

Life is all about experiencing new things everyday, view things in a new angle, a new perspective. If life is always the same and we live in an auto pilot state, we would be like living zombies in a way. just cruising through our life everyday via the program that is deeply embedded into our brains. But as we see everyday as a new day, a new beginning, a new perspective, things will gradually change and whatever hits us the impact would be lessened.

It is those who lives out from their comfort zone that progress but not those who stay put at the very same place. Being renewed with a new mind set everyday and the possibilities in life will widen up too.

Well thats all for today's sharing, there will be more cool stuff coming up as I will have more free time after these few weeks of busy schedule.

Today is our best day !!

Cheers~~

Dreams are achievable !! =)

Since young, I would always tell my parents and my friends about my dreams, to become an astronomer, fire fighter, doctor and so on.

When we were young, countless imagination and possibilities are there shinning upon our heads waiting to be unravelled. But as we grow older, all these dreams seemed to be impossible for us. Slowly day by day, minute by minute, we lost trust in these dreams that we once believe so much as a kid and succumbed to the flow of today's society mind set and point of view.

It is true that dreams that we want to achieve when we are young are those impossible dreams? Dreams that can only exist in the plain of our own perfect imaginary world?

or...

It is that the general context of the society and teachings that unconsciously hypnotize us and mislead our thoughts to follow the general crowd?

So which is which?

Certainly I could just tell you that dreams are achievable, but some would just tell me it is impossible. Some might believe, and some won't. So what is the core criteria that enables us to focus and achieve our dreams?

There are generally 3 core words that one should remember if one wants to reach out to the stars and catch his/her dreams.
1. Vision
2. Intention
3. Commitment

Too often we are always affected by our surroundings whenever we voice out our own opinion. People would just start to say;

"You sure about that?"
"You sure you can make it?"
"It's not that simple as you think it is."

And then *poof* the dreams and flaming passion that we had are turned off by all these icy cold splashes of negative comments. Gradually we will start to believe that whatever we want to do is impossible to achieve and then we will give up that dream and in search of other dreams.

However, same thing will come back again and again like a vicious cycle if we are not aware of what might be the problem. Is it because of what and how others think? or is it because of ourselves?

Many great people in the past have gone through the same trials and difficulties like us, some even worst in comparison with our daily problems. People like Thomas Edison, Nelson Mandela, Ghandi; all these people had gone through persecution and harsh trials to achieve their dreams. But what's more important is that they are just same like us. Normal human being but with a clear cut Vision, Intention and Commitment.

Vision
Visualize what you wanted to achieve, it can be I want to become a writer, painter, singer, businessmen or even your vision can be such as travelling around the world before certain age.
Vision can be anything, let it be big or small as long as it is what you want to achieve in live and what you love.

Intention
When you had a clear vision where will you be in the future, always define the intention of the vision. A lot of times we are often confused and mistaken our lust for our vision. With a clear cut intention it would be easier to walk towards your dreams.
For example, I always wanted to write a book. That is my vision. My intention would be the reason I write this book. Which is to share my thoughts and experience to others so that others may gain from it.
And that is intention.

Commitment
Once the Vision and Intention is clearly defined, this would be the easiest and yet hardest part for most of us. Which is to go ahead and DO IT!! Normally people would be like how do I start? Where do I start? When do I start? It is actually very easy. START NOW, START HERE and JUST BECOME WHAT YOU WANT TO BECOME.
Seize the moment and become what you want at this very moment, if you want to be a writer then at this moment you are a writer, if you want to be a guitarist, you are now a guitarist. It is never about wait till I learn how to do it then I will become, but the moment when you start taking up the responsibility and commitment to achieve your vision.

Of course it is always easier said than done, but without any steps taken all we would have is just countless numbers of 'what if' questions running in our mind till the end of the days of our lives.
But even when we start to take a small simple step, we are already one step closer to where we want to go. Nobody said it is easy to walk down these path, but the journey, the process of these taken path will surely bare sweet and awesome fruits.

So don't be afraid, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger !

One World, One Community, One Vision~~ Green Seed Project

I could still remember that since I was young I always love the nature. The serenity of it, the wonderful and amazing tall trees that stand up so high in the sky. Withstanding even the harshest storms, covering us from the scorching hot sun during day time, and providing us with clean fresh air.

Although I am not the kind of guy that loves gardening that much, because I hated the fact that I would always get stung by mosquito. But I always had the idea of planting more trees and making a greener environment around me.

During my university days, when we were ask to conduct a PR campaign for our final year project, the first thing I could think of is to plant trees all over the areas around my campus. Because it is just too hot without trees around it. However, not much of my classmates supported this idea and hence nothing happen in the end.

Just recently when I was in Kuching, I heard of one of my friends that had the same vision and they had started an awesome project called the Green Seed Project. The project is aim to bring the green environment back to our homes, and also to promote and educate the younger generations to enjoy tree planting. By focusing of Love, Joy and Passion towards planting trees and caring for mother nature.

The moment when I heard of this, I became so excited and wanted to be part of it, but due to my work I wasn't able to fly down and understand more about this project. Until last week, my first hand experience in planting trees. The feeling is just so awesome, as we plant the trees is not just mere planting, but having the vision that someday is few ten years later this tree will grow awesomely tall and big, providing good shelter and shading for people and other animals. As well as making the air cleaner and fresher. Just having these thoughts, I became so overwhelmed by it.

All these was created by just one small vision, and one small step forward, and now there are so many people that is supporting this wonderful, amazing and meaningful cause.

Here is the video clip about the Green Seed Project

Green Seed Project : The Beginning

Green Seed Project : Bring Nature Back to School

Looking through these 2 videos, gave me a very clear realisation that in life nothing is impossible to achieve. All it takes is just a vision, and a step of courage. One step at a time and you will reach the destination. I am so greatly inspired by the founder and the dedication of the whole team, and I am glad that now I am part of this wonderful and meaningful team to create a greener environment for our future generations.

One World, One Community, One Vision
Let's hold hands together and make it a better future =)

Stop! Look, Choose =)

Hey people !!!

Today is our Best Day !!

Sorry for the long absence from my postings as I've been away for a self retreat for the week. Now I am back a fully recharged !!

A lot of things has happen this week, good, bad things, impulsive and wrong decisions made. But that doesn't really matter that much. Because I felt that there are just so many things to learn and realize in our midst of life.

Unconsciously we are often sucked into the frustration of our own problems daily, and each and every actions that we do is lead out from desperation or frustration. For instance, I am having certain problems in my finance area, and things and choices that I've made lately are very based on the value and choices of those who are related to money. My actions became so impulsive and automated which I did not even realize until I stop and look around.

It is just so scary how our brain works sometimes. The inner desire that is so strong within is, if mislead by the context of our own mindset, we would be drag into a much worse situation. I guess I can put this as what we often called 'The Law of Attraction'.

The Law of Attraction is actually as real as it can be. Just think of it, if you are a gamer, normally the friends around you would be gamers too. Well this can easily be explained by a very logical explanation. Referring back to the example given just now, a gamer that love games would subconsciously seek to find his/her own group of clicks to share their joy and fun they harvest from games. Hence when all gamers have these kind of same feelings, they would find ways to connect with each other, it can be through game sessions, forums, social media and etc. It is normal for people to go and search for their own groups, as we humans are creatures of groups but not individuals.

And what I've gone through this period of time is indeed a wake up call for me. Too long I have been drag to places by places with the guide of my worries and fears. I always tend to make choices based of the spur of the moment but never really cool down and really clear of all the things in mind before making decisions.

Hence it is important for us to practice the 'Stop, Look & Choose' practice. Whenever we face any issues and problems. We should;

STOP
Stop all things that is on the go, whether it is in a rush or not. Just put every thing on hold. Disconnect yourself momentarily from all these problems and issues, and try to calm down by taking deep breathes.
Just continue to focus on your breathing until you are not tense anymore.

LOOK
Once you are calm enough you will eventually have a much clearer mind and clarity in the things you see. Now, look around and see what are the options and approaches that you can proceed with.
Let it be right or wrong, just list out all the possibilities.

CHOOSE
Now, once all the options has been laid out, it is time for you to make a choice. Choose the best decision according to you Intention and vision towards the subject that you want to achieve. And always keep one thing in mind, there is no shortcuts in life. Step by step lay a good foundation so that we would not fall easily.

I hope that my sharing today will help some of you that have been facing certain problems in life.

Stay tuned for more post =D

Today is our best day!!

Moving on from previous relationship

Relationships are a core for connection for all human beings, since our younger days we have already been caught up with relationship issues.

Some wants to start a relationship ...
Some yearns for one ...
Some pursues for one ....

Well in terms of relationship in this context I will narrow it to the very common heard boy and girl relationship. i remember I started my first ever relationship when I was 16 years old. And that did not end up so well, and along the way a lot of relationship come and pass by as well...

But today's post isn't about how many relationships I have been through but about the topic of letting go and moving on...

I'm sure this topic has been bothering not just me but also many of us, not knowing how to deal with all these memories of being with another person and suddenly they are just out from our lives. Things just doesn't seemed to be the same, reminiscence of these people are all around; places we go, people we meet, things we do. But this is normal because this is a process of healing and letting go.

Why do we feel that it is hard for us to let go?

  1. First of the reason would be that our brains will tell us that it will no longer be the same, without the presence of the other person in the midst of our lives. But the truth to that is, with or without the particular person in our lives, we are still living through our daily lives and going through our daily routine. So yea, we might feel that we are not used to it but still we still go on with our daily lives, the mind often find it hard to adapt with new things so take some time to let it adapt.
  2. We are still clinging on the past. In our lives, there so many things that come and pass by this includes our relationship. What has pass has already passed and nothing can be done to turn back time and fix things. So why do we often still cling our emotions and feelings towards a time and moment which has already pass and no longer can be undone. All that we can do is focus on our present moment and keep walk ahead.
  3. We are afraid, afraid to face the reality and it has come to an end. All the promises and plans made during the relationship period has all been shatter into pieces. The fear of not knowing how to face people around us, the fear of facing the disappointment that erupts from the high expectation of the relationship. Well, it is okay to be afraid; no body likes the feeling of failing and disappointment. Just allow yourself to be hurt and feel the pain fully for a period of time. Then stand up and continue to walk ahead. Everyone deserves to be fragile once in awhile.
  4. Old possessions that might stir up memories. This often happens to me, as in my previous relationships I do get a lot of gifts from my girlfriends. Some are just too precious to be thrown away, but whenever I see it, it just remind me of those times. So a way to solve this is to box everything up and store it in a store room or somewhere that you might not bother to look for it. Yes you treasure those moments but at some point you just gotta let it go and move on.
  5. Trying to forget. This sentence if often heard around me all the time, "I am trying to forget him/her, but it needs time" well this is partially true only. Nothing can be completely be erased from our mind, only as time passes by those memories become more and more vague and less clear. THe key to overcome this is to catch hold on the good moments and just leave it as such. During a photo shoot, a photographer will choose the best angle to take the photo despite how the condition of the surroundings is. We can never forget things completely all we can do is just to shift our feelings to a more positive side whenever these memories strikes us.

It is always hard for us to get over things that we are so comfortable with, what more a person that has been around us for such a long time, sharing good and bad memories together; and suddenly the person is out from our lives. But fear not as these are just normal process that everyone will go through eventually.

Everything happens for a reason, and behind everything there is always something good that we can learn from it.

'Letting go is not a painful process, but a graceful process where we set ourselves free from the clutches and chains from the past. It is only when our hearts are no longer chained up, then new doors will open up. '

For anyone that is going through this phase; just wanted to tell all of you that you are doing just fine and everything will get better and better =)

Today is our BEST DAY~~

The choice of our words.

Hey peeps,

Here is some thought of the day....

Something just struck me recently that gotten me thinking so much; people's justification or should I put say people's opinions and comment on others.

I grew up as a weird kid due to my Tourette Syndrome, people made fun of me because of that all the time until the extend that I was constantly being bullied and being teased around till I finish my high school days.

After those day I thought that the society would be more gentle and kind to me, but I was really wrong like super wrong. I here today not to pin point out who's wrong and stuff but just to share some thoughts about all these comments and insults that people often give to others.

In our daily lives, how often do we get mocked, insulted, teased, make fun by others ? or vice versa; how often we do these to other people?

People always like to look at thing from their very own perspective and anything that is out from their context they will conclude that that is social unacceptable. This applies to over 99% of the human population is urban society nowadays.

Take an simple example scenario of myself,
Recently I just dye my hair and change my hair do. Well that's for personal interest of course *plus the hair style doesn't look bad at all =p* However, there are just some people(no names mentioned) who always would put up with saying things like man you look ugly, disgusting and etc stuff. And they expect me to be okay with it and if I acted angry and upset they would just say that I have a small heart and often take things too serious.

But here's the thing, if I was the one that say it out they might just reacted and say that I am mean and stuff too. So these made me wonder so much, why do people act like that. It is just so upsetting to see people nowadays are so mean and pointless. They inflict pain on others just to provide joy and fun for them.

And how many times did we do that to others ? how many times did we use our own perspective to judge others ? just because majority of us are the common people with common features doesn't make those that are slightly different from us not humans. We are all the same and yet we still mock each other for no specific reason except that it feels fun.

The mind set of this generation is rotten and people just like to act like they are mr and mrs know it all and give statements that most of the time doesn't make a point at all.

So yea, why waste time doing such things and inflict pain to other? I have a friend that committed suicide because of his overly depression and the fact that people around him says stuff about him and hardly can accept him. I was one of those who are socially weird and awkward too, getting made fun of and being bullied, if I hadn't knew God in my life guess which path would I walk down to?

Sometimes it is funny to give names and laugh at others or to give harsh statements to others, but reality is these people that do all these things are just people that has low self esteem and they do all these so that they feel like they are in power and better then others. So, at the end of the day, just take sometime and reflect upon how often did we give off such comments that cause pain to others? sometimes it will be ok, but we would never know some words that we say might just end up ruining a persons entire life.

"So choose our words wisely and don't do unto others things that you don't want others to do to you."

Today is OUR best Day =D

Right Wrong Decisions?

In our life we often stumble on a lot of choices to make...

Some choices doesn't really matter...

Some choices will affect the rest of our life's...

Hence, we often stuck ourselves into the pit of misery, surrounded by the frustrations and the overwhelm feeling that what if... what if we made the wrong choice.

However, there is a simple truth behind these choices; and the answer towards this frustration question that cause so many miseries to people is....

There is no right choice nor wrong choices in life.

Often in life, we debate, discuss about what is right and what is wrong all the time. The mind set of thinking what if I do this; and what will happen if I do that. Well I myself had a share of these moments in my life too. I could still remember that I often blame myself for making the wrong choices in my life. Doing things that I am not proud of at all. Took me such a long time to let go and to even forgive myself. But one valuable lesson that I learn through my past is that there is never a right and wrong choice in life.

What is right ?

What is wrong ?

Is there any definite definition or answer to these 2 questions?
Well it is a very subjective question and of course the answer to these questions are subjective to the individual as well.

Take my experience for example, I am a kid that is born with talents in art and music, I love to write, draw, sing, play music instruments all the time; there was a point in life that I wanted to go for arts degree too. However, my parents think that I should be more realistic as a career in arts is not easy and doesn't earn that much unless you are like Picasso and stuff. So they claimed that choosing the art path is a path bound for hardship and poor life. And say choosing the right path would be going for the path in science. Overall I would say that taking science subjects was the worst decision I ever made, because I wasn't happy and I wasn't good at it at all. Hence, first part of my teenage life was quite a mess.

Lesson from this incident is that, yes technically there is right and wrong choices in life, but the right and wrong choices in life are not determined by others point of view, others comments; but it is determined by we ourselves, how our heart feels about it.

There is a famous quote that says, "Life is all about that choices we make!"  So how many choice that we make are really based on what OUR HEART tells us? Often we are so caught up with how others look as us, and same time stuck in between our heart and ego. And thus these are what I would say is wrong choices in life, choices that is made based on others opinion and others point of view. As we made such choices often we would not be happy because that is not what we want most of the time. We did it because we seek acknowledgement from people, we seek compliment from people.

So the conclusion is, ARE YOU aware of what CHOICES are you making today?  Is it for yourself and is it for others sake?

Choices that we make in our life is never about others, but its for ourselves..

TODAY is OUR BEST DAY =D
